Mass murder of the Tutsi ethnic group (most of the victims) and moderate Hutus. The genocide took place from April to June 1994 in Rwanda. During this period, Hutu radicals murdered up to one million Rwandans and 2.5 million people were driven from their homes. (April-June 1994)
