Ahnenpaß mother of the witness - the data in this document had to be compiled on the basis of original documents and everything had to be thoroughly officially verified. The document was issued by the registry office (but could also be verified by the church) and replaced the need to document birth certificates, baptismal certificates and marriage certificates when presented. Inside the Ahnenpaß, fields were filled in regarding the birth, baptism, marriage and death of the owner and his ancestors back to the fifth generation (i.e. to the great-grandparents of the grandparents), namely according to the corresponding documents.

Ahnenpaß maminky pamětnice – údaje v tomto dokumentu musely být sestaveny na základě originálních dokladů a všechno muselo být důkladně úředně ověřeno. Dokument vydával matriční úřad (ale mohl být také církevně ověřen) a nahrazoval v případě předložení nutnost dokládat rodný list, křestní list a oddací listy. Uvnitř Ahnenpaßu se vyplňovaly kolonky ohledně narození, křtu, sňatku a úmrtí vlastníka a jeho předků zpětně až po pátou generaci (tj. až po praprarodiče prarodičů), a sice podle odpovídajících dokladů.

The Ahnenpaß - that is, a certificate of Aryan origin - was issued in Germany by the Reich Union of Registry Office Officials from 1933 and served as a confirmation of the "Aryan origin" of the owner of this document (in this case, the grandmother of the witness). Proof of "Aryan origin" was prescribed by various laws under National Socialism (Nuremberg Laws, Professional Officials Act and later also the German Officials Act).

Ahnenpaß – tedy průkaz o árijském původu – byl v Německu od roku 1933 vydáván Říšským svazem úředníků matričního úřadu a sloužil jako potvrzení „árijského původu“ vlastníka tohoto dokumentu (v tomto případě babičky pamětnice). Doklad „árijského původu“ byl za nacionálního socialismu předepsán různými zákony (norimberské zákony, zákon o úřednících z povolání a později také německý zákon o úřednících).
