Zdeňka Pavlíková was born on 7 November 1933 in Čelákovice. At the age of two, her father František Koubek died of repeated pneumonia. During the war in Čelákovice she experienced raids by fighter planes and the transport of a Jewish family. Her mother Anna, in very poor health, escaped from the Vinohrady hospital during the bombing and almost died of diphtheria. After the war, the family moved to the borderland settlement of Český Bukov, but they soon left. Witness married Stanislav Pavlík, with whom she cycled competitively for several years. After 1968, her husband tried to emigrate to Italy. Their children, Stanislav and Pavel, subsequently had difficulty getting admission to university. They lived in Šumperk for many years. At the time of recording in 2026, they lived in Javorník.
